Funeral services for Pearlie Jo (Dale) Martinez, age 40 of San Angelo and formerly of Seminole, will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Barns of St. James Baptist Church of Pecos officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole. The family would like to say a special thank you to Hospice of San Angelo and Shannon Medical Center.

Jesse "Butch" Ragsdale

Funeral services for Jesse “Butch” Ragsdale, age 80 of Seminole will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Trinity Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Hospice Chaplain Josh McLemore officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home. Mr. Ragsdale was born January 29, 1944 in Littlefield to Nada (Cooper) and William Carmera Ragsdale. He married Carol Jane Stewart in Seminole on November 22, 1963. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He worked a salesman at Adkins Supply selling oilfield equipment; he loved to work a deal. Butch was a heck of a musician; he played the steel guitar as well as other instruments and enjoyed playing in a band. He started Seminole Trade Days in 2006 and B&J RV Park in 2011. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, and camping; he also liked wood working, restoring furniture and antiques. Butch loved all children, always taking them for ice cream; he was generally loved and was a good friend to all, always willing to help anyone. He was definitely a social butterfly, as well as a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.

Seagraves... Funeral services for Mandie Houston, 89, of Seagraves will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday March 30, 2024, in the Seagraves High School Auditorium with Pastor David Boyd, Rev. Charles Sims and Rev. Charley Barnes officiating, with interment following in the Gaines County Cemetery of Seagraves under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seagraves. Mandie passed away on March 23, 2024, in Seagraves.

Our loving mother, Manuela “Nellie” Marquez, who loved to be called “Nanny” by all, departed this earth to her heavenly home on March 22, 2024. Nellie was born to Isabell Estrada in Oxnard, CA on November 19, 1948. She married Concepcion Marquez, December 8, 1966, in Oxnard, CA. Nellie was a loving mother to Maria Becerra Marquez, Jose Luis, Irma Perez Marquez and Hector, Jimmy Marquez, Terry Marquez ; April, Rudy Marquez, Laura Brown and Justin, Michelle Escalante and David, and she was a “Nanny” to 13 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren.
