Indians, Maiden see plenty of playing time this summer

The West Texas temperatures aren’t the only things heating up for the Seminole athletic programs. With various summer camps set up for all the Indians’ and Maidens’ teams, varsity athletes are getting in extra work this month and next as they prepare for the 2024-25 season.

The Seminole baseball team was well represented on the 2024 All-District 3-4A team. Rowin Donaldson was honored as the district’s Most Valuable Player, Obed Reyes was the Pitcher of the Year and Josh Lopez was the Defensive Player of the Year.

LUBBOCK Seminole football coach Greg Poynor and his staff had three days to install some semblance of an offense for the 2024 ASCO All-Star Classic. Leading the Red Team, Poynor tried to highlight the NASCAR-style offense that has made the Indians so tough to defend the past few seasons.
