Mr. Iglesias was born June 11, 1957 in Mexico to Clemencia (Montanez) and Pilar Iglesias. He married Sylvia Garcia in Seminole January 23, 1978. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and worked for Gaines County Prescient 4. Ernesto was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was a hard working, simple man with great values and enjoyed listening to music, dancing, watching Texas Rangers, family feud, and horse races; he also enjoyed sharing his stories with others, drinking coffee and eating his honey bunnies. He told everyone he married his angel.

SEAGRAVES -- Funeral services for Oleta Sue (Floyd) Currie, 92, of Seagraves, will be Saturday, June 15, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Seagraves with Dr. Troy Wayne Martin officiating, assisted by Pastor Greg White. Interment will follow in the Gaines County Cemetery of Seagraves under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home. Sue passed away due to a brief illness on June 9, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 8, 1932, in Afton to Howard Edwin Floyd and Lucille Elizabeth (Benham) Floyd. She married Donald “Ben” Currie in Seagraves on April 15, 1951. Sue was a beloved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was a devoted member of the Seagraves Church of the Nazarene for over 70 years. Her love, kindness, and generosity were known by many. Sue was a faithful believer in Christ, serving her church with compassion and love. Through the years, she held the position of Sunday School teacher, VBS Director, Church Board Secretary, Church Treasurer, and Board Member. In 2006, Sue and Ben were awarded a Distinguished Service Award for their dedication to Christ’s work. Sue never forced her belief in Christ on others; instead, she was a living example of Jesus’s love.

SEAGRAVES -- Graveside services for Willie Otis Moore,63, of Seagraves were held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the Gaines County Cemetery of Seagraves with Trevor Moore officiating under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seagraves. Willie passed away at his residence on June 10, 2024 in Seagraves. Willie was born January 17, 1961, in Seagraves to Joseph L. Moore and Thelma M. Pearson. Willie was a bachelor that enjoyed building and flying model planes and competing in chili cookoffs. Willie was a long-time employee of Atmos Energy before retiring from there. Willie was also a volunteer firefighter for the Seagraves volunteer fire department.

Funeral services for Cornelius Banman Funk, age 43 of Seminole will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Atlas Church with Pastor Jimmie Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Memorial Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home. Mr. Banman was born in Mexico on August 8, 1980 to Susana (Funk) and Cornelius Banman. He married Mary Peters in Lubbock on May 19, 2019. He worked as a mechanic and enjoyed working on cars, as well as woodworking. He was always joking around and had a great sense of humor; he was very generous and would do anything for his friends or family. He loved children and animals and enjoyed listening to old fashioned gospel music.
