Local Independence Day Celebration Slated for June 30

Gaines County residents are invited to come celebrate an evening of patriotism on Saturday, June 30, as both the Seminole Area and Seagraves Chamber of Commerce will host their annual Independence Day celebration at the Gaines County Park.

The celebration is anticipated to include vendors at the park beginning at 11 a.m. that morning.

The Gaines County Park facility is located seven miles north of Seminole, just off of U.S. 62/385 (Seagraves Hwy).

Admission is free to the event, but patrons entering into the Gaines County Park grounds are reminded that no fireworks or alcoholic beverages will be allowed inside the Gaines County Park grounds.

According to Chamber officials, live musical entertainment is anticipated to start at 7 p.m. and last until dark, depending on the number of musical volunteers.

After sunset, the Chamber-sponsored aerial fireworks display will take place at the Gaines County Park grounds.
