GCSO Seeks Information into 2 April 27 Burglaries

May 2, 2018

Gaines County Sheriff’s Office investigators are searching for any information related to a  pair of burglaries which occurred in the early morning hours of April 27 at a business just north of the Seminole community.

According to a press release issued by the GCSO on Wednesday, a male subject was observed on surveillance video arriving in a “crew cab Chevrolet pickup” believed to be between 2012 and 2014 year models.

“The subject parked and entered the business by smashing the front window with a rock,” said Ronny Pipkin, Gaines County Sheriff in the press release.

The GCSO’s investigation stated the suspect took multiple firearms from the business.

“The subject then entered the business just to the south of the first business and broke a front door to gain entry,” said Pipkin. “The subject was apparently spooked when the alarm at the second business was activated.”

GCSO officials stated no items were stolen at the second business, as the subject immediately fled the area in the Chevrolet pick-up he arrived in.

“Video from the second business is being reviewed and investigators are confident that an arrest will be made soon,” said Pipkin.
GCSO officials are asking for assistance from anyone who may have information regarding the burglaries. Individuals may call the Gaines County Sheriff’s Office at their non-emergency number, (432) 758-9871 or the Gaines County Crime Line at (432) 758-4025.

Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward if information related to the incident leads to the conviction of the suspect involved.
