The Seminole softball team, in need of a victory to stay in the playoff hunt, went the distance against Greenwood.
It paid off. The Maidens took the lead early, surrendered it in the top of the seventh inning and then scored in the bottom of the inning for a 6-5 victory against the Rangerettes in District 3-4A play on Friday at Seminole.
