Nancy Newton, 75

Nancy Smith Newton – August 3, 1942 to May 24, 2018.  Born in Stamford to Ray Greene-Ellis and Roy E Smith.  

Nancy was a wife and companion of James Norman Newton of Seminole, for over 58 years.  She was also a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  James recently took her to Mayo Clinic hospital in Arizona to better Nancy’s quality of life. Arizona was always a place they wanted to spend time.  During their time spent in Arizona, they would sit in the backyard drinking coffee and tea, admiring beautiful desert plants and animals.

Nancy is survived by her husband James Norman Newton, of Seminole; her children, Michel J. Newton and wife Laurie of Lubbock and Lisa R Newton, of Casa Grande, Arizona; brothers Bryan Ellis and wife Vicki of Fernandina Beach, FL and Daniel Ellis of Odessa; grandchildren, Lauren Newton Gregory and husband David of Andrews, Courtney Newton, and husband Walter of Gardendale and Jonathan Rocha, of Irving; great-grandchildren, ‘the twins’ Taiylor and Haiyden Gregory, and Dallas Newton and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Nancy will be Friday, June 8, 2018, at 11 a.m., at the Doss Foundation Chapel located at the Gaines County Cemetery, Seminole, Texas (County Road 301).
