Jay Don Livingston, aged 74, of Ruidoso, NM, Formerly of Seminole, passed away February 24, 2024 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

While attending Seminole High School in the 60’s, Don was a member of a band called The Switchmen, playing bass guitar. Other local members of the band included James Dyess, Tim Hankins, David Walden, and Tommy Joe Woodard. They played at the local M.S. Doss Youth Center as well as surrounding towns. While in High School, Don also worked at Oswalt Pharmacy under the guidance of Bill Oswalt RPh and Don Cates RPh.

Don graduated from Lubbock High School in 1967, and graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology.

He was preceded in death by his second wife Donna Livingston of Tempe, Arizona and by his parents Libby Burnett and J.D. Livingston as well as his 3 siblings Lois Pfannestile, Dr. LaMoyne Livingston DO, and Jerry LaNell Livingston.

Don is survived by two children from his first marriage: Ken Livingston (Mary Helen) of Midland, Texas and Jennifer Forbes (Paul) of Lubbock, Texas. He also has 5 grandchildren: K.T. Livingston (Ashley) of Midland, Benjamin Livingston (Melissa) of Houston, Liz Picard (Mathis) of New York City, NY, and Brianna and Rachel Forbes of Lubbock. His surviving family also includes 3 great-grandchildren: Jordyn and Kash Livingston of Midland and Murphy Kenneth Livingston of Houston.

No Services were conducted as his remains were cremated and ashes scattered per his wishes.
