Funeral services for Jacob Neufeld, age 64 of Seminole were held Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Reinlander Mennonite Church with John Loewen officiating. Burial followed at Reinlander Cemetery. All services were under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mr. Neufeld was born January 7, 1960 in Mexico to Agatha (Fehr) and Heinrich Neufeld. He married Helena Guenther in Mexico on September 16, 1979. He was a member of Reinlander Mennonite Church and worked as a farmer.
Jacob Neufeld passed away at his home in Seminole on Sunday, April 14, 2024.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one brother, and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Helena Neufeld of Seminole; five sons, Heinrich Neufeld and wife Susie, Diedrich Neufeld and wife Catarina, Peter Neufeld and wife Helena, and Jacob Neufeld, all of Seminole, and Franz Neufeld and wife Eva of Mexico; eight daughters, Helena Woelke and husband Johan, Gertruda Giesbrech and husband Johan, Susana Wolf Berhart, Agatha Klassen and husband Johan, Catarina Woelke and husband Peter, Nancy Hildebrandt and husband Abraham, Maria Froese and husband Johan, and Margarita Neufeld, all of Seminole; four brothers, Peter Neufeld and wife Justina of Boliva, Johan Neufeld and wife Agatha of Canada, William Neufeld and wife Katharina of Canada, and Cornelius Neufeld and wife Katharina of Seminole; six sisters, Katharina Dyck and husband Jacob, Aganetha Dyck, and Eva Friessen, all of Mexico, Sara Harder and husband Isaac of Kansas, Helena Bartch and husband Johan, and Susana Harder and husband Peter, both Canada; and 48 grandchildren.
