Two Shot, Suspect Being Sought

On Sunday, April 20, 2014 at about 11:50 PM Gaines County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to County Road 2201 in reference to shots fired and one subject wounded. At about 11:57 p.m., deputies arrived on County Road 2201.
Deputies discovered two gunshot victims on the property. They were identified as a 54-year-old male with a critical injury and a 29-year-old male with a non life threatening injury.
Both subjects were airlifted to University Medical Center in Lubbock. The 29-year-old male was treated and released. The 54-year-old male was listed in serious but stable condition.
Pending further investigation, the names of the victims will not be released at this time.
Gaines County Sheriff's Office has identified 53-year-old Alfredo Aguirre as the offender in the shootings. Two arrest warrants have been issued for Aguirre for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Aguirre is considered armed and dangerous.
