ANDREWS -- A Seminole man died in a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning in Andrews County.

A 1996 Jeep Cherokee was traveling north on FM-1788 and a 2013 Dodge Ram was traveling south on 1788 when  the Jeep entered into the southbound lane of traffic and struck the Dodge head-on at about 6:40 a.m. Thursday, a report by DPS Trooper Elena Viramontes said.

Adam Russell Moore, 32, who was driving the Jeep and did not wear a seatbelt, was pronounced dead by Judge Mary Jane Baeza at 7:50 a.m., the reported stated. Payton Taylor, 28, of Hobbs, N.M., drove the Dodge and was transported to Medical Center Hospital, where hospital officials confirmed he is in fair condition as of Thursday evening.
