Dec. 7 — Officers with the Seminole Police Dept. stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of SW Ave F for a traffic violation. An investigation revealed that the passenger had an outstanding warrant out of Gaines County. The passenger, Jerry Joe Romero of Seminole was transported to the Gaines County Jail where he was booked in on his warrant.…

Seminole ISD Eyeing Establishment of High School Equivalency Program

No public comments were raised Monday evening, as members of the Seminole ISD Board of Trustees hosted a public hearing concerning a proposed application by the school district for the establishment of a high school equivalency program.

With the required public hearing held Monday evening, SISD Administration officials — following guidelines established by the Texas Education Code — will now begin the process of applying for the program as a way to provide an alternative educational source to traditional students within the Seminole community who are looking to accelerate their education background.…
